Gardaí are probing the fatal stabbing of a juvenile at a care facility in Donaghmede, Co Dublin.
The Liberal understands that the deceased teenager is a foreign national and that other foreign nationals are injured from the incident.
The altercation unfolded midday at a residential home in the Grattan Wood apartment complex, where multiple juveniles were involved in what authorities termed a grave disturbance.
Violence erupted inside the property, resulting in at least three individuals being slashed or stabbed. One juvenile suffered lethal wounds and remains at the scene.
Several others, including at least two females, escaped the fray.
The area is now a secured crime scene, with two apartment blocks cordoned off. It awaits examination by the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau.
Investigators suspect the participants and victims were clients of the facility, viewing the episode as isolated with no broader public threat.
An incident room is underway, led by a senior officer. Gardaí urge witnesses or those with details to come forward.
