Motorists have been advised to proceed with caution this morning as dense fog is expected in as many as 23 counties tonight and Monday morning.
The warning comes after Met Eireann issued a very dense fog warning which will remain in place until at least 8am Monday morning.
It is understood the warning is in place for the following counties: Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Tipperary, Wexford, Dublin, Laois, Kildare, Offaly, Wicklow Westmeath, Meath, Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Clare, Limerick, Cork, Louth, Monaghan, Mayo, Cavan and Donegal.
People are advised to share this information with their friends, especially those who’ll be on the roads overnight or early Monday morning.
