Gardai say that they discovered a fully operational shebeen during a search in Causeway, County Kerry.
They say the found bar taps, an 80″ TV, a pool room, bar stools, gaming machines and quite a large bar area.
The makeshift shebeen is said to have had residents enjoying themselves and partying in the venue while normal pubs have been shut since March.
It’s understood that gardai were searching the area for such premises when they discovered the makeshift pub, which had tap pipes and even a cooler room to keep the drink at a good temperature. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
