Motorists who’ll be on the roads tonight and especially tomorrow morning have been warned to be extremely vigilant as strong winds and crosswinds have been forecast.
Storm Brendan is due to hit Ireland shortly after 6am on the mainland but 5am on coastal areas, particularly on the west coast.
Met Eireann have forecast winds of up to 130km/h with crosswinds said to be extremely strong particularly on motorways and valleys.
People are advised to share this information with their friends and family who’ll be driving in the inclement conditions.
