Met Eireann has just issued a Status Orange warning for the entire country ahead of the arrival of Storm Brendan, according to the Irish Mirror.
The west coast will take the brunt of the onslaught, as winds of up to 130km/h will lash large coastal areas throughout Monday.
The start of the working week is set to be a rather miserable one, weather-wise for certain, as strong winds, heavy rains, and the possibility of flooding are likely to keep emergency services busy.
The outlook is for a week of very unsettled weather, with plenty of rain and wind most days.
