Arlene Foster and Michelle O’Neill are currently giving a press briefing in Dungannon, Co Tyrone announcing that Northern Ireland is extending its lockdown until at least March 5th after consulting with their Chief Medical Officer.
The two women announced that Northern Ireland’s lockdown has been extended to 5 March with a review to take place on February 18th. It’s understood that a decision was made following a meeting of the devolved government.
They said that depending on variants that come down the road, they may need to extend their lockdown. It means that the Republic of Ireland will more than likely see its lockdown extended to the same time frame.
