News emerging from London this evening shows that the international city is very much walking on eggshells.
The Metropolitan police rushed to central London around 5pm where they rushed the public from the streets and cordoned off two vehicles that were said to be “suspicious” looking.
The US Embassy is a huge, isolated building around 5 minutes west of Oxford St. It’s in a very salubrious area surrounded for top end hotels and quite close to Park Lane.
The Met’s Armed Response Unit rushed to the area to make it safe and it’s understood that two controlled explosions were carried out on two vehicles parked outside the US Embassy and that the area is still cordoned off.
