The Liberal published an article about rumours circulating on social media that Micheal Martin was at his daughter’s wedding at the weekend.
The Journal.ie did a factcheck on the article and found that it was partly false, citing that Martin was at his niece’s reception only on Friday evening for a couple of hours.
They say that Micheal Martin was due to fly to Canada at the weekend, prior to the fuel protest crisis so it’s highly unlikely he’d be going to Canada if his daughter was getting married.
We stated that his daughter was getting married in a local Church with a reception being held in Glengarriff, but again that does not seem to be the case as it was his niece’s wedding, not his daughter’s.
