BREAKING: Schools in Northern Ireland to close for 4 MONTHS – but not yet

In a special meeting in Armagh this afternoon, it’s been confirmed that northern Ireland’s schools will be closing for a mammoth four month period – but not just yet.

Leo Varadkar met with Arlene Foster along with other politicians to discuss an all-island approach to fighting coronavirus.

All schools and colleges are closed in the Republic of Ireland but are open in the north.

It’s understood that the north’s politicians aim to incorporate as much of the summer holidays as possible into their time off.

First Minister Arlene Foster made the announcement but said that they would not be closing yet.
