BREAKING: Sinead O’Connor has reportedly been hospitalised after tragic messages over son’s death

It is being reported that singer Sinead O’Connor has been hospitalised after tweets she posted earlier raised concerns that she was at risk.

According to Irish Central, O’Connor has been struggling since the loss of her 17-year-old son Shane.  He died by suicide last week and she has been vocal in discussing her feelings in the aftermath of his death.

Today she tweeted:-

“I’ve decided to follow my son.  There is no point living without him.  Everything I touch, I ruin.  I only stayed for him.  And now he’s gone.”

She went on to post a number of other tweets, saying:

“I don’t deserve to live and everyone who knows me will be better off without me.  I am sorry for all the harm I caused.”

She also said that she didn’t want to be in a world without her son.

Concerned twitter users highlighted the posts, asking O’Connor’s friends and family to get in touch with her immediately.

The singer subsequently posted again, about 30 minutes later, saying:

“I’m sorry.  I shouldn’t have said that.  I am with cops now on way to hospital.  I’m sorry I upset everyone.  I am lost without my kid and I hate myself.  Hospital will help a while.  But I’m going to find Shane.  This is just a delay.”

Members of the public are expressing support for O’Connor tonight on Twitter and other social media platforms, sending her good wishes for her recovery.
