Irish health authorities have reported just under 19,000 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 18,904 new cases confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 1,011 people with severe coronavirus disease across Irish hospitals today. It is unclear how many of these are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
