Officials from major sporting bodies and broadcasters in the UK have been summoned to attend a special meeting following the spread of the Coronavirus.
According to Sky Sports News government officials will meet with officials from all major sports to discuss emergency plans for the holding of events of the virus spreads further.
It is believed that a number of contingency plans will be put in place should the outbreak continue to get worse.
Although the Premier League or the English FA haven’t imposed any restrictions, it is believed that games could be played behind closed doors in the future.
It is also believed that other sports could be forced to introduce such protocols to contain the spread of the virus.
