It’s been one of the worst storms to hit Ireland in recent years, Storm Ellen hammered the Irish coastline and right up through the country overnight.
The south and southwest of the country were worst affected by winds up to 100km and heavy rain.
Today, crews have been working on restoring power to close to 200,000 homes and businesses. Currently that have that number down to 104,000 and say that they’ll be working throughout the day and night to fully restore power.
