A gunman has been arrested after at least one person was killed and a number of others shot following a shooting at a synagogue in Vienna, Austria, aaccording to local reports.
Pictures and video on social media appear to show gunshots being fired in a very busy area of one of the city’s main thoroughfares. Armed police have rushed to the scene.
According to the editor of the Falter newspaper, one person had been killed after shots were exchanged at around 8pm local time.
Vienna Police posted on social media that there is a “large police operation” going on in the area, and there are “persons injured”.
