Tipperary are the All Ireland Senior Hurling Champions after they beat Kilkenny 3-35 – 0-20.
In what has been Tipperary’s year, the Premier County will take home the Liam McCarthy Cup after a strong and spirited display against a 14 man Kilkenny side.
In a match that was relatively even, the game was turned on its head when Richie Hogan was sent off for what was deemed an elbow on Barrett in 32nd minute.
Although the decision was highly debated, Tipperary showed their class and added a further 2 goals and 16 points to claim victory.
