Gardai are investigating the circumstances in which a family of 5 people have been found dead this afternoon in County Cavan.
Two parents and three children were discovered in a house at Barcony, Ballyjamesduff shortly after midday.
The children are aged between 6 and 13 years of age and the family are said to be well known and well liked in the area.
This story is developing, and so far the gardai have described the incident as “tragic”.
