The family of much-loved priest Fr Tony Coote have sadly announced that the fundraising priest has died.
Fr Tony, who was aged in his 50s, had motor neuron disease and raised considerable funds for MND in Ireland.
He went on a 550km walk from Donegal to Cork last year, which was called Walk While You Can, and was aired on RTE. The walk raised an enormous €600,000.
Fr Tony was the Administrator of Mount Merrion and Kilmacud parishes in Dublin.
