An investigation is underway following a fatal house fire near Easkey, Co. Sligo, which claimed the lives of two men in their 80s.
Emergency services were alerted to the scene at approximately 11am today after the blaze occurred overnight.
While both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, no other injuries occurred.
Gardaà have preserved the area for technical examination, and the results of upcoming post-mortem exams will guide the direction of the inquiry.
