
The car they were in crashed into a Donegal home, killing a teenager and a young man and seriously injuring two more, reports RTE.
Around 9.30 p.m. last night, the automobile struck the gable wall of a house in the townland of An Bhealtaine, Gort a Choirce, Co Donegal, killing the driver, a teenager, and a passenger in the backseat who was in his 20s.
The car’s occupants, a male in his 20s and another adolescent, were transported to Letterkenny University Hospital, reports RTE.
Later, one of them—who is said to be in severe condition—was sent to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital.
All four of the young men were from the An Fal Carrach neighbourhood, which is only a few miles from the disaster site.
It is believed that the event did not hurt anyone inside the residence, reports RTE.
According to the GardaÃ, the man’s and teen’s remains have been taken from the scene and sent to Letterkenny University Hospital for post-mortem tests.
There are local detours in place while the route is blocked.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are also expected to conduct a technical analysis of the scene, reports RTE.
In addition to requesting drivers who were in the vicinity between 9 and 9.30 p.m. last night to provide them with camera video, especially dash cam footage, the Gardaà are also looking for any witnesses.
