BREAKING: Two men have died in yet another crash involving Bus Eireann bus




Police are conducting an investigation into a major road traffic collision in Co Fermanagh, where it is believed that two men have died.

The crash happened at around 7pm last night and involved a Bus Éireann express coach and another vehicle, reports RTE.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed it had deployed teams to the scene on the Derrylin Road outside Enniskillen.

“The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 19:00 on Friday 28 November following reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Derrylin Road, Enniskillen,” the NIAS said in a statement,

“NIAS despatched two Rapid Response Paramedics, two Emergency Crews and an Ambulance Officer to the incident”,

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no patients were taken to hospital”, reports RTE.

It is understood that passengers travelling on the bus received only minor injuries.

Bus Éireann confirmed that the vehicle involved was operating the Dublin to Donegal route, reports RTE.

“Bus Éireann can confirm that yesterday evening, 28 November, one of our Expressway Route 30 services was involved in a serious road traffic collision involving another vehicle in the Derrylin Road area of Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh,” it said in a statement this morning,

“Emergency services and Bus Éireann personnel attended the scene”,

“The safety of our passengers, staff and the public is of paramount importance to Bus Éireann. We will provide any assistance required to the relevant authorities”,

“No further information is available at this time”, reports RTE.

The PSNI stated that the road had been closed for a period but has now reopened.
