A shopping centre in downtown Manchester was evacuated due to a “large group of teenagers causing major anti-social behavior”.
Images on social media show dozens of customers standing in front of the Arndale Center, reporting on social media that people were “running.”
One witness said he saw a riot van in front of the Arndale, with four other police cars and an ambulance on site.
Greater Manchester police said in a statement: “The police are investigating an ongoing incident at Arndale in Manchester.
“A large group of teenagers caused anti-social behavior among security personnel on the second floor.”
“The food court has been cleared and the group is slowly being dispersed from the main entrance.”
