Met Eireann say that their severe storm warnings were justified and warranted




Thankfully, there’s literally next no damage done from ‘storm’ Lorenzo. A few twigs thrown around here and there but Donegal getting the worst of it but heavy rainfall, but the rest of the country escaped the entire ‘storm’.

There’s been criticism of Met Eireann’s severe warnings that Storm Lorenzo threatened catastrophic-like damage across Ireland.

Many shop owners say that there was little to anyone out and about yesterday because they were told to get home fast and stay indoors for fear to endangering their lives.

However, Met Eireann say that they’re fully standing over their claims and that it was better to be prepared than to be caught on the hop.

They did predict the 2018 ‘Beast from the East’ quite accurately but Storm Lorenzo was a different story.
