There could be good news for asthmatics as scientists in UK have said they have developed a new pill could radically change the way the illness is treated in the future.
The new drug called Fevipiprant has already reportedly proven successful in a number of trials reducing the risk of an attack.
According to Professor Chris Brightling, of the University of Leicester, the new drug is already a success, saying: “It improved symptoms, it improved the breathing tests, it improved inflammation.
“It also improved the damage that we see in the lining of the airway, and there were also come improvements on the CT scans.
“So this combination of improvements is really quite striking.”
