Brexit Breakthrough? Theresa May faces D-Day on pushing Brexit deal through

Although nothing substantial has happened over the past 24 hours, it appears as though we may well once again get a border on the island of Ireland.

British Prime Minister Theresa May agreed a legally-binding Brexit assurances with the European Union in a last minute effort to win over her own party members who have threatened to vote down her divorce deal once again.

EU Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker  said that this is it – there will be no third chance to make a deal happen.

Mrs May was in Strasbourg for last-ditch talks with EU Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker to salvage their Brexit deal, on the eve of a crucial parliamentary vote.

Wednesday will see a vote to “exclude no deal” – they’ll also have a vote to leave without any deal.

Anything could still happen. No one knows for sure, the only thing for certain is that we should have a much better idea as to what will happen by close of business on Wednesday.
