Irish government to lift ban on taxpayer money providing abortions in developing countries

The Irish government is said to likely soon start spending Irish taxpayer money proving abortions in the Third World.

Following the introduction of abortion on demand at the taxpayers’ expense in Ireland as of January 1st 2019 the ban on Irish foreign aid being spent on abortion services overseas has been lifted.

Now the ban is lifted the Department of Foreign Affairs has said that it will launch a new initiative as part of Irish Aid to promote “sexual and reproductive health and rights” i.e. abortion.

This comes in the wake of Tánaiste Simon Coveney’s remarks that Irish foreign aid will have to increase by €150 million per-year, every year for the next 12 years to reach the UN determined target of foreign aid.

Currently Ireland spends €700 million taxpayer euros on foreign aid per-annum but this must increase to €2.5 billion by 2030 to reach the UN target of spending 0.7 per cent of the nation’s Gross National Income on overseas development.

It is unclear how much of this money will be spent providing or promoting abortion.
