British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is returning from Brussels today with a Brexit deal in his pocket, but the outcome is far from certain as MPs still need to approve it.
The stage is set for a crucial vote in Westminster on Saturday, but the numerical odds are stacked against the PM.
The Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) has already confirmed that it will vote down the deal, as the party ‘cannot back’ what’s in it. Labour and independent MPs are also likely to vote against the proposed deal, so margins will be tight.
The Prime Minister has said that whether the deal passes or not, there will be no delay to Brexit.
