Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen has a long road to recovery a family member has revealed.
In an interview with RTÉ’s Liveline programme, the former Fianna Fáil TD’s brother Barry Cowen, said that Brian is making slow progress after being admitted to hospital earlier this month.
Mr Cowen told the programme that Brian has a long road ahead but his family are grateful that a road lies ahead.
He added that Brian and his family are also grateful for the public’s support in recent weeks.
The news of the former Taoiseach’s condition comes after he was admitted to hospital with a bleed on the brain.
