It’s been a long winter but the summer is swiftly moving towards us and it looks like it’s about to start next week!
Met Eireann is forecasting a heatwave for next week, with temperatures rising to the mid 20s and possibly beyond.
And the good news is that the coming weekend is also expected to see rather fine weather, with the thermometer marking 18-19C in the afternoons.
The national forecaster has also warned of the possibility of thunderstorms tomorrow, Friday, accompanied by heavy downpours at times.
