The travel plans of thousands of people may be disrupted in the near future, as British Airways management has failed to block a ballot among pilots intending to engage in industrial action.
Management at the airline had challenged the ballot on the basis that it deemed it ‘illegal’. However, a judge ruled that this challenge would not stand.
Though no strike dates have yet been announced, pilots’ representatives have warned the airline that it must make concessions before the end of the week if the strike is to be averted.
The row continues.
