Sir Kim Darroch, the British ambassador to the UK, has resigned from his post after a firestorm of controversy arising from a number of leaked memos that criticized US President Donald Trump.
The memos referred to the Trump Administration as “uniquely dysfunctional” and “inept”.
Mr. Darroch felt that his position had become untenable, particularly after Prime Minister hopeful Boris Johnson refused to confirm whether or not Darroch would retain his position if he got into 10 Downing St.
