EU vessels having access to the UK’s territorial waters for fishing has been a seriously contentious issue and with Brexit looming, many British citizens have expressed their desire for this access to be put to an end and that may come to pass with the Fisheries Bill.

“In future, access to fish in UK waters will be a matter for the UK to negotiate and we will decide on the rules that foreign vessels must follow”

The UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said in a statement.
