The Met Office is warning of ‘danger to life’ conditions as Storm Christoph approaches the UK.
An amber warning will be in place for northern, central, and eastern parts of England from Tuesday. Heavy rain, together with melting snow, is likely to cause widespread flooding across many areas.
People are being warned to stay away from coastal areas and bodies of water until the storm has passed.
