The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to meet the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar in the coming weeks it has been revealed.
According to RTÉ News, the Department of the Taoiseach has confirmed that the British Prime Minister has accepted an invitation to hold talks in Dublin.
Although no details of the upcoming meeting have been released, it is believed that Mr Johnson will arrive in Ireland in the coming weeks ahead.
It is expected that both leaders will discuss the issue of the Irish border, however it is believed that the issue of the backstop will not be discussed as the Irish Government have maintained that particular issue should be the British Government and the European Union.
The British Prime Minister’s expected visit will come ahead of the UK’s departure from the EU on October 31st.
