In what can only be described as utterly heartbreaking, there’s still no news on missing Irish citizen Nora Quoirin.
Police have now opened a tip-off hotline in an effort to locate the missing girl.
Nora Quoirin is now missing one full week with authorities losing hope that the young girl will be found alive.
Malaysian police and other agencies have conceded that they’re still at a loss as to what may have happened to 15-yr-old Nora Quoirin.
The Irish citizen’s mother, Maebh, thanked police for the search help and for their prayers during this exceptionally difficult time.
Nora, who has severe learning difficulties, vanished seven days ago from the resort she was staying in with her family. An open window and no signs of forced entry or a struggle in her room initially led authorities to believe that the teenager had left of her own accord. Her family disputes this, however, stating that Nora would never leave her family voluntarily.
All efforts to find Nora have so far been unsuccessful including drones, police rescue dogs and helicopters deployed over a massive forest area.
