The British Supreme Court has ruled that the prorogation of Parliament was ‘unlawful’ thus dealing a severe blow to Boris Johnson’s position.
A panel of eleven judges agreed on the ruling.
In the wake of the announcement, Boris Johnson said that he respects the ruling, and that parliament ‘will come back’.
