Good news for property owners in Dublin as city council votes to cut Local Property Tax by 15%




There was some good news for property owners in Dublin as the City Council voted in favour to cut the annual Local Property Tax.

According to RTÉ News, city council members voted overwhelmingly in favour to cut the annual tax by 15%.

Under the new rates homeowners could save in the region of €60 or more per year.

Although there was some opposition to cut the rates, it is understood that the vote passsed 34 to 19.

It is believed that city council members decided to reduce rates after it was widely criticised that Dublin property owners were paying more in tax given the value of property in the region.
