A British woman who alleged that she was gang-raped in Cyprus, has been arrested on suspicion of making a false accusation.
According to BBC News who quotes AFP, the 19-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday and is scheduled to appear before court later today.
The woman’s arrest comes after 12 Israeli males all aged between 15 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of rape following the alleged incident in Ayia Napa, on July 17.
BBC News states that five of the males were released on Thursday, whilst a further seven were allowed to return home on Sunday.
