A number of couples have been left devastated after a wedding planner has allegedly disappeared, taking their deposits with her.
According to the Metro.co.uk, Sam Devine handed over €600 for decorations and a marquee to cover the cost of her wedding to parter Phil Leach so that her terminally-ill mother could attend. But she has said that she now feels taken advantage of as she believed that a beautiful wedding would be organised for her.
Things were similar for Kayleigh Enderby who allegedly handed over the same amount of money for her wedding to Marc Hodge. After realising what had happened, she is determined to make her big day a success nonetheless.
The experience was even more shocking for Kaylie Norrie, who is marrying Sean Lane. Unbelievably, she told the Metro that the wedding planner was an “old family friend” but that doesn’t seem to have stopped the planner from allegedly disappearing with Kaylie’s money.
The Metro have said that they have contacted the wedding planner for a comment but nothing has yet been said.
