After an absolutely disastrous election campaign run by both government parties, Labour party members feel it’s now time for a change of their leadership.
Joan Burton just about made it home with her own seat last month, but that’s the least of her troubles. Labour TDs say it’s now time for a leaders contest and get the Dublin West TD out for good.
Brendan Howlin is the most likely new leader for the Labour party, but judging by their showing in the recent election, it’s completely irrelevant who is the leader of the Labour party because they’re definitely not flavour of the month.
Meanwhile, it’s looking more than likely that we’ll be going back to the polls sometime in May as both Fine Gael and Fianna Fail refuse to sit down with each other to form some sort of stable government.
