Tourists boarding a bus in Cairo were subject to terror as gunmen shot at them this morning.
The tourists were boarding a bus outside a hotel, just a stones throw away from Egypt’s famous pyramids, when the attack commenced. In response, the hotel’s guards began firing in the direction of suspected criminals, forcing them to flee.
One gunman was immediately arrested at the scene and security forces surrounded the other attacker in another part of Cairo. It is unclear what the motivation for the attack is at present as investigations continue.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths at the scene.
