Calls for “better Luas horns” to be installed after Dublin woman’s tragic death yesterday

There have been calls from social media users for Luas trams to have “better horns installed” after a tragic incident that saw a Dublin woman lose her life on Thursday morning.

Many people feel that Luas horns currently aren’t loud enough and that such a tragic incident obviously not only deeply affects the woman’s family, but also the Luas driver.

People have been saying that more needs to be done to ensure that Luas horns can be heard from some distance away rather than their current sound system.

Tributes have been paid from locals in Bluebell, Tallaght after they heard of the tragedy that saw Patricia Quinn killed in a Luas collision yesterday.

The 71-yr-old was sadly killed when an incident happened at around 10am between the Cookstown and Tallaght Hospital stops. It’s understood that the lady died at the scene.

Gardai are asking witnesses to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 66 660 00, the Garda Confidential telephone Line on 1800 66 61-11 or any Garda Station.
