There are calls for Leo Varadkar to resign as Tanaiste after footage emerged of the Fine Gael leader blatantly flaunting his own stringent covid regulations that he’s imposed on the Irish public for the past 16 months.
People are saying that Varadkar must go, that’s he’s a hypocrite and must account for his actions like the UK’s Matt Hancock had to go after he broke the UK’s covid rules.
Footage has emerged of the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar not wearing a mask or social distancing himself from at Pride in Dublin on Saturday.
The former Taoiseach can be seen breaking his own rules by engaging with people face to face, not wearing a mask and in crowds of people.
Some social media users are calling for his resignation, similar to that of other politicians who resigned around the world after being caught breaking their own covid rules.
State media will not show you this image, but as the story spreads, more and more are calling for Varadkar to step down.
