Calls for overhaul of Ireland’s immigration controls as yet another foreigner stands trial for serious crimes against Irish citizens

Another foreign national is before Irish courts for a serious crime committed against an Irish citizen, this time for the false imprisonment of three members of the Gardai.

Hamisi Bombo (53) of 16 Waterfront Apartments, French Church Street, Portarlington is accused of false imprisonment of three people at his address on March 20, 2021 and will stand trial in the circuit court unless there is an appeal, The Leinster Express reported.

The brutal murder of Aisling Murphy in Tullamore, followed by the killings and mutilations of two homosexual men in Sligo by a naturalised citizen of Middle Eastern background coupled with the growing rage over convicted serial sex offender Chico Makamda who is still reportedly wandering the streets of Dublin despite a deportation order has prompted calls for an overhaul of Ireland’s immigration controls.
