The streets of Ferguson, Missouri, were calmer last night, after two nights of riots and looting sparked by a grand jury’s decision not to indict Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot unarmed 18-year old Michael Brown dead.
Such move caused nationwide unrest.
Just a skeleton crew of demonstrators braved the elements in Ferguson last night, standing outside City Hall to protest against the jury’s decision.
US civil rights leaders have called for further protests to take place on Saturday.
