Canada is today reeling from its worst mass shooting in over three decades.
Sixteen people were gunned down during a 12h-long rampage carried out by a man who drove around in a car painted to look like a police cruiser. There are also reports that the perpetrator, identified as 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman, may have worn a police uniform, or a uniform resembling that of Canadian police.
Wortman drove around the small town of Portapique -around 80 miles from Halifax-, seemingly and shooting people at their homes. He also set a number of buildings on fire before being shot dead by police after a long day of violence.
The shooter’s motivations have not yet been ascertained.
