In a desperate attempt to keep control of the country, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has tried to get the Freedom Convoy truckers to disband.
According to RTE, Trudeau has insisted that the protest “will end”. He has said that he is not considering sending in the military against the truckers at this time.
The truckers, who travelled from all over the country came to protest against Canada’s divisive vaccine mandate, grew into a protest against all of the country’s draconian restrictions.
Trudeau fled the capital Ottawa when it became clear that the convoy was made up of more than a few hundred people. Instead, it has turned into a movement against the way in which the Prime Minister has dealt with Covid.
Many people have said that they think Trudeau has lost the respect of the country and that there is an air of desperation about his comments now as he tries to control what is happening.
