The Capuchin Day Centre in Dublin have revealed plans to help with the building of 25 homes for the homeless.
It is understood the Centre which caters to Dublin’s homeless everyday, say they are to donate €5m in funding to the Peter McVerry Trust.
According to RTÉ News, the Centre’s founder Brother Kevin Crowley said the decision was made after a careful deliberation.
Brother Crowley said that they decided to donate the money to the Peter McVerry Trust as they themselves are not a housing organisation.
He added that the housing units will be allocated to those in the greatest need.
