According to the latest census figures, Catholics outnumber Protestants in Northern Ireland for the first time in its 101-year history.
The census shows that 45.7% of the resident population are Catholics or Roman Catholics.
The percentage of the population that is evangelical or was raised Protestant is 43.5%.
9.3% of people said they did not belong to any religion or were raised in any religion.
The Catholic population has increased by 0.6% since the last census in 2011, while the Protestant population has decreased by almost 5% over the same period.
