Celebrity doctor Christian Jessen sets up GoFundMe page asking the public to pay £125,000 to Arlene Foster for false allegations he made accusing her of having an affair

He’s been accused of begging the public to pay his debt to Arlene Foster after posting a link on his social media.

Celebrity doctor Christian Jessen has set up a GoFundMe page to raise £125,000 so that the public pays his debt rather than himself.

Northern Ireland’s former First Minister and leader of the DUP was left humiliated after television presenter and celebrity doctor, Christian Jessen posted false social media allegations over an affair with a close protection officer, she told the High Court in Belfast last month.

According to the BBC, Mrs Foster made the statement at the High Court where she said the post and rumours were categorically untrue and inflicted deep hurt at a time she was attempting to restore power to Northern Ireland. Ms Foster has been happily married for some 26 years and has one son.

The BBC reports that the court heard that Dr Jessen responded to an email from Mrs Foster’s solicitor and removed the tweet on January 7 but he had not responded to correspondence since. The tweet was posted just two days before Christmas in 2019.

This week, Mr Justice McAlinden awarded Mrs Foster £125,000 plus her legal costs for the hurt and damage caused by the false allegations.

Justice McAlinden said that the tweet attacked Mrs Foster’s integrity, and conveyed that the core of who she was and her family’s relationship was thrashed and humiliated.

So, will you be paying his debt?
