The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that the public has worked hard to get us in the position we are in today and that the country’s Covid-19 vaccination programme is progressing.
In a series of tweets, Donnelly praised the public for their efforts and reminded everyone that a there’s a clear pathway out of the pandemic.
Donnelly who urged the public to stay safe wrote: “We have a clear pathway out of this awful pandemic and today we took some more steps on it.”
“Everyone has worked hard, particularly in the past weeks and months to get us to this. You have followed the public health advice, and our amazing vaccine programme is progressing.”
He added: “We are now in a position to make progress to a return to more normal life faster than we expected even a few weeks ago.”
“We are phasing things back into people’s lives to make sure we can continue the vaccines and prevent and surge from this awful disease again.”
